Basics

What is BuddyPro?

BuddyPro is a platform that turns an expert's know-how (videos, books, courses, podcasts, documents) into an AI twin that coaches the expert's clients 24/7 in the expert's methodology and voice. The expert sells access to it as a premium subscription and keeps the subscription profit; BuddyPro charges a $197/month license (annual payment) plus AI usage.

Who is BuddyPro for, and who is it not for?

BuddyPro is for coaches, consultants, educators and other experts who have people willing to pay for their know-how and want to sell a premium AI version of themselves as a subscription. It is not a fit for someone who wants a $19 chatbot widget for a website, wants to give AI answers away only as a free lead magnet, or does not yet have an offer people pay for. It is also not for lawyers, medical advice (doctors can offer an educational AI twin with clear terms; healthy lifestyle coaching is fine) or AI twins targeted at children.

How is a BuddyPro AI twin different from ChatGPT, a custom GPT or a chatbot?

ChatGPT is a generalist: it gives everyone the internet's average answer and forgets the person between chats. A BuddyPro AI twin runs on an AI companion core built for one job: to be a specific expert for each of their clients. It works with the expert's know-how in an advanced, multi-step way so its answers are as good as the expert's own, remembers each client for months and years, reaches out first to keep them moving, and builds real relationships that subscribers describe as life-changing. On the top BuddyPro instances, 60% of subscribers are active daily and 80% weekly.

How is BuddyPro different from other AI clone and AI coaching platforms?

Most AI clone and AI coaching platforms give you a chatbot to add to your website or membership area. BuddyPro is different: it is built to create a standalone, premium digital product, an AI twin that people pay for on its own, for as much as experts used to charge for online courses. It is the first platform built this way, it defines a new category of digital product, and it is proven by 150+ experts who launched it, many of whom earn more with it than with their previous courses.

Why use BuddyPro instead of building my own AI coach with Claude Code, Cursor or the OpenAI API?

You can build an AI coach that works in a weekend with Claude Code or Cursor. What you almost certainly cannot build is one that people pay $2,000 a year for and use every day. The gap is invisible in a prototype: an AI companion core that makes people feel understood, proactive coaching, memory that retrieves the right context from months ago, prompts refined across 150+ AI twins, AI cost optimization, payments, 24/7 infrastructure and constant re-tuning as AI models change. Build it yourself and you become a software company. With BuddyPro, you launch in days and focus on your expertise.

Where is BuddyPro heading?

BuddyPro sees AI twins as the next step after online courses: people increasingly want personal help with their situation instead of watching hours of video. Today a BuddyPro AI twin is an AI mentor and coach. Next, AI twins become AI agents that take an expert's skills and do real work for clients: an AI employee, not only a mentor. The goal is to build a platform in the league of Skool, Masterclass or Kajabi for this new category.

Pricing and costs

How much does BuddyPro cost?

BuddyPro costs a $197/month license (paid annually) plus AI usage of about $0.092 per message in conversation, and it takes no profit share. Experts sell access to their AI twin as a premium subscription, typically $1,000-2,000 per subscriber per year, so a few subscribers cover the license and experts make 6-7 figures with it. Across 150+ launched instances, BuddyPro twins have generated $6M+ in recurring revenue, about $40K per launched instance on average.

How much does AI usage cost per subscriber, and what is left for me?

AI usage is about $0.092 per message in conversation on average. With a 1,000-message monthly limit, that is around $20-30 per subscriber per month, because most subscribers use only 200-400 messages. At a recommended price of $1,000-2,000 per subscriber per year (about $83-167 per month), roughly $50-145 per subscriber per month stays with you before the $197/month license. With lower message limits, the cost is lower.

How do message limits work, and can I keep my AI costs low?

You set a monthly message limit for each plan. A 1,000-message limit does not mean a subscriber costs you $92 a month (1,000 x $0.092 per message in conversation): averages do not work that way. Subscribers use only part of their limit, typically 200-400 messages, so the real AI cost is around $20-30 per subscriber per month. Lower limits cost less, for example a 150-message plan can never cost more than about $14.

Does BuddyPro take a share of my subscription profit?

No. BuddyPro takes no profit share. Subscriber payments are collected directly by the expert through the expert's own Stripe or other payment account; BuddyPro is not a payment intermediary. BuddyPro's charges are the license ($197/month, paid annually) and the AI usage.

Selling to your subscribers

How do I charge subscribers for access to my AI twin?

You connect your own Stripe account (or any other payment system via Zapier), set your plans, prices and monthly message limits, and share invitation links. When someone pays, BuddyPro activates their access automatically; when a payment repeatedly fails, it pauses access and tells the subscriber how to fix it.

How much should I charge for my AI twin?

You set the price. Most experts sell their AI twin as a premium subscription; BuddyPro recommends $1,000-2,000 per subscriber per year. Some charge around $97 per month or a bit less, for example next to an existing membership. Lower prices are possible if you set lower message limits (for example 150 messages per month for around $40), but we do not recommend it: you are selling an AI version of yourself, and premium pricing is where experts make 6-7 figures.

Will an AI twin cannibalize my coaching business?

Not if you set it up right. You choose the price, so set it at a level where the AI twin clearly adds profit instead of replacing it. Experts typically sell it to people who cannot or do not want to buy their premium program, sell it to their existing coaching clients too (who often want both), and let the AI twin recommend the coaching program when it fits. The products complement each other and grow revenue, impact and reach.

Will my audience actually want and use an AI twin?

Your audience is most likely already using AI. Ask your clients whether they use ChatGPT: most will say yes. The problem is that ChatGPT gives them generic advice not based on any expertise. They trust you, want to learn from you and want your advice, and when you are not available they ask ChatGPT instead. Across 150+ launched AI twins we see the same thing: when experts offer their own AI, their audience buys it eagerly. The question is not whether they will use AI, but whether they will use yours.

Can I offer my subscribers a free trial?

Yes. You choose how many free messages a trial includes and how many days it lasts, and when it ends the AI twin invites the person to your paid plan. Trials can convert very well: one BuddyPro expert offered a 2-week trial to existing paying clients and 36% of them bought a $2,000 subscription. Trials use AI credits, so set them up so they pay back, and test on a smaller group first.

Can I sell my AI twin through Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific, Kartra or ThriveCart?

Yes, through Zapier. Stripe is built in; any other payment system or course platform, such as Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific, Kartra or ThriveCart, connects through BuddyPro's Zapier actions. When a customer buys on that platform, Zapier generates an invite and activates access with no manual steps. BuddyPro support helps with the setup.

Where your AI twin runs

Where do my subscribers talk to my AI twin?

In Telegram, which is included with every BuddyPro license, and in the expert's own branded apps (iOS and Android in the App Store and Google Play, plus desktop apps for Mac and Windows), which are a paid add-on. Developers and AI agents can reach the same AI twin through the OpenAI-compatible Owner API and End-user API.

Can my AI twin have its own branded app on phones and computers?

Yes, as a paid add-on. BuddyPro builds and publishes your own branded apps under your name, icon and colors: mobile apps for iOS and Android in the App Store and Google Play, and desktop apps for Mac and Windows, each with a single conversation between the subscriber and your AI twin. BuddyPro keeps them updated. Telegram access stays included with the license.

Can I connect my AI twin to my own tools, automations and AI agents?

Yes, through the Owner API. It gives you and your team programmatic access to your AI twin, so you can connect it to automations, internal tools and AI agents and use it as the knowledge brain of your agent systems. It uses POST https://api.buddypro.ai/v1/chat/completions in the OpenAI Chat Completions format. You can also sell API access to your subscribers: see the End-user API.

Can I sell API access to my AI twin, so my clients can use it in their own automations and AI agents?

Yes. With the End-user API, your paying subscribers can plug your AI twin into their own automations and agentic environments through an OpenAI-compatible API. It is opt-in: you switch it on, and it works only for people with an active subscription to your AI twin. You set your own markup on the usage (0 to 500 percent, 30 percent by default), so every API call earns you money.

Can my AI twin speak in my voice?

Yes. Subscribers can send voice messages and receive voice replies, and the owner can choose the voice or create a clone of their own voice. When a subscriber sends a voice message, the AI twin replies with text and voice. A live real-time voice mode is in preparation, expected by the end of 2026.

How the AI twin works

How is the AI twin trained on my content, and which formats can I upload?

There are two ways. Do it yourself: you put your material into a Google Drive folder connected to your AI twin (PDFs, documents, audio, video, presentations, Google Docs, links to websites, YouTube or Vimeo) and BuddyPro processes it. Done for you: you do not have to deal with any of it. All we need is your name; we train your AI twin from as many of your public sources as possible, and you can add access to private material such as courses or recordings.

Do I have to collect and upload my content myself?

Not on the done-for-you plans. All we need is your name: we train your AI twin from as many of your public sources as possible, so you do not have to go through your YouTube channel or decide which videos to include. If you have private material such as courses, recordings or files on Vimeo, you share access and we add it. Only on do-it-yourself do you upload the material yourself.

How much content do I need to build a good AI twin?

There is no fixed minimum and no practical maximum, and the more you upload, the better. Some BuddyPro clients have thousands of files inside their AI twin. A smaller amount of material also works, as long as it covers the essentials of your method, your core principles and answers to frequent questions, and the system prompt clearly defines its personality and direction.

Can one AI twin cover several businesses or topics?

Yes. BuddyPro does not limit which businesses or topics an AI twin covers. If you run two businesses, you can load the know-how of both, and the AI twin is good at everything you put in: it creates dozens, hundreds or sometimes thousands of expert roles from your material and picks the most relevant one for each conversation. The only restriction is copyright: upload only content you own or have permission to use.

Does the AI twin remember each subscriber?

Yes. A BuddyPro AI twin remembers each subscriber the way a human brain does, only better. It knows the person comprehensively: their goals, situation, history and progress, including things that happened a year ago. It can search the full history of your conversations, and above all it actively uses that context in every answer. That is what makes it a great partner, not just a chatbot with a log in the background.

Does the AI twin message subscribers first?

Yes. By default the AI twin reaches out on its own with follow-ups and check-ins, for example asking how an important conversation went or reminding someone of the plan they made. The owner can turn proactive messages off, and each subscriber can ask it to message them proactively or not.

How accurate is the AI twin, and does it make things up?

A BuddyPro AI twin answers primarily from your know-how, which is the most accurate source. Like any AI it can occasionally make something up, mostly where it has no relevant material. You reduce this by adding accurate content in critical areas, telling it in the system prompt to admit uncertainty, adding disclaimers for sensitive domains and testing before launch.

Can I use BuddyPro for health, therapy, finance or legal topics, or for children?

There are two groups BuddyPro does not build AI twins for: lawyers, because legal advice has to be exact and a wrong answer can cause real harm, and AI twins targeted at children. Medical advice is also not supported, but doctors and health experts can offer an AI twin for educational purposes, with terms that clearly say so. Healthy lifestyle coaching is fine, and other sensitive coaching topics work with clear boundaries and disclaimers.

Which languages does the AI twin speak?

A BuddyPro AI twin communicates in dozens of languages, including all major world languages, regardless of the language your know-how was uploaded in. It detects the subscriber's language and switches automatically when the subscriber changes language, without losing context.

Data, privacy and ownership

Is my content used to train AI models, and is BuddyPro GDPR compliant?

Your content is used only to run your own AI twin and is not used to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model; BuddyPro uses only API-based models from suppliers that contractually do not train on input data. BuddyPro processes personal data under EU GDPR and UK GDPR, its Terms include the Article 28 data processing agreement, and stored data is kept in the EEA.

Can I or BuddyPro staff read my subscribers' conversations?

No. Subscriber conversations and memory are processed by automated means only and stored encrypted. No expert or instance owner can access them, and BuddyPro operates no interface that shows them to its staff. Infrastructure access is restricted and allowed only for a mandatory legal obligation or a security incident, and any such access is recorded.

Who owns my content, and can I export or delete it?

Your uploaded know-how belongs to you and is used only for your BuddyPro instance. You can request a copy of all uploaded content in a machine-readable format at any time during the agreement and for 30 days after notice of termination, and you can close your account at any time. Deleted content is removed from active systems; backups may be kept for up to 90 days.

Setup and support

How long does it take to launch, and do I need technical skills?

No technical skills are needed. If you set it up yourself, it takes about 2-3 days: you get a license, create a Telegram bot with Telegram's official @BotFather, connect a Google Drive folder, upload your know-how and test, with your AI twin guiding you through each step. With done-for-you, BuddyPro builds it and your part is a couple of hours of answering questions and approving, about 5-10 hours including testing and launch.

What happens after I buy BuddyPro?

It depends on the plan. Do-it-yourself: you get an email with a self-serve guide, create your Telegram bot, and from then on your AI twin itself walks you through the whole setup. Done for you (Start or Empire): you get access to Launchpad, a web dashboard where you answer a few questions, upload files or share access to your content (for example Vimeo), and a personal human partner builds your AI twin for you to review and test.

What does BuddyPro's done-for-you service include?

With done-for-you, BuddyPro builds your AI twin from your know-how, publishes it in Telegram and your own branded app, prepares the launch (strategy, campaign emails, sales page, webinar script) and keeps it running. There are two annual plans, BuddyPro Start and BuddyPro Empire; pricing is not public and is discussed on a free strategy call.

How do I track subscribers, usage and revenue?

In the BuddyPro owner dashboard (dashboard.buddypro.ai) and with the /stats command in Telegram. You see total revenue from connected payment systems, AI costs and credit balance, messages and average cost per message, users, active subscribers and trials, and trends for the last 7 and 30 days.

Can my team use my AI twin too?

Yes. As the owner you have no message limit. Your team gets access through invitations you generate, and for each invitation you choose how many people can use it, how many messages they get and for how long, for example a free monthly allowance instead of a paid subscription. Your team uses the AI twin the same way as your subscribers, in your branded app or in Telegram.

How do I get help or talk to the BuddyPro team?

Before you buy, book a free, no-obligation strategy call with the BuddyPro team. On a done-for-you plan you have a personal human partner who builds your AI twin with you and whom you can call. On do-it-yourself, your AI twin itself knows how BuddyPro is set up and guides you, and support@buddypro.ai is answered by an AI agent first and a person from the support team when needed.
